Revenge of the fifth
So, again, the past few days have been a time.
So on Saturday, the day after the gig, mum’s friend came to visit. I stayed upstairs for awhile at first, mostly cause of tiredness. Of course, as is always the case of her visits, I had to use her bus ticket to go to town. (She doesn’t have a card of her own so when she wants to order something she uses mums… so money has to be put on it.) Although it was a fairly quick visit to town, it ended up being tiring in large part due to the weather turning super warm and funny bus times.
So yeah that also meant I was pretty wiped. I managed to stay up for MCC but not much long after. Speaking of MCC I knew I was going to watch Pink Parrots but what sealed the pov I watched was Ranboo revealing he was wearing a princess peach dress for it, which was pretty nice! Especially considering he only made the decision to get one a few nights beforehand. Thanks Amazon fast delivery!
And yeah they didn’t end up doing great on the leaderboard but it was fun. (Even if George didn’t wear a special skin for it, but Wilbur did, with one of him in the boa.)
And speaking of the boa, the vid it was used in went up Sunday and it was… one of the most homoerotic things I’ve seen. Seriously so much of it could’ve been the opening (or part of) porn. It was an experience.
I’d hoped to do more uni stuff this week but… it wasn’t meant to be. I’ve only been able to do some stuff this morning and even that isn’t much. I still have no idea what the project part of the final assessment is going to be, but I did find, this morning, a thing hidden in the course with suggestions of sites to use, so I’m gonna look at those in the morning properly and decide something then. But yeah this course as a while has been one of the least fun ones I’ve done. I’ll have to look better when choosing the next one.
A reasoning for not doing much uni stuff was cause of last week. The roadworks last Tuesday was incomplete and there was no sign of when they’d return. I heard some noises Tuesday morning and assumed that was it (it stopped but of course as soon as I booted my laptop it started again). Of course that wasn’t all of it and it was even worse Wednesday morning which… ugh. It gave me a headache which was not good cause it was constant.
Wednesday’s drilling was also an issue cause talktalk sent someone to check the phone line cause we’d had issues and he must have arrived the moment they left. A new socket is in which is good and should solve things (it’s took long enough) so fingers crossed.
But of course yesterday was also Star Wars day! Woo! The sales are, thankfully, largely disappointing (I hope the Fennec funko is still in forbidden planet Saturday though). I’d be curious about the Disney loth cat if I’d seen it in person but the Birmingham store never had the galaxy’s edge animals on display so…
For Star Wars day I did manage some Star Warsy things. In the morning I did do some Fortnite, which counts cause there’s a Star Wars event. I didn’t get to use one of the lightsabers, but I did use a blaster which is cool. I might use my Xbox credit to get the Fennec skin.
There was a trailer for Obi-wan, which looks like it’ll be good, but I still have questions over it. If Vader is obsessed with finding Obi-Wan (as the trailer seems to imply) why does he seemingly give up after the series? There’s supposedly another face off between them based on promo stuff but I’m not full sold on that either. Then again who knows?
I also finished Star Wars Visions, since I had four I’d not seen. They were all pretty good, though I think my fav of the four was The Elder. I do hope they do a second season for it (is season the right word?). I also did a bit on Lego a Star Wars, though only briefly and mostly the mission to unlock Admiral Ackbar. (Which appropriately involved traps)
Speaking of Lego Star Wars, I finished the story mode Tuesday, doing Rise Of Skywalker over the course of the day. It’s still, to me, the weakest of the eps because… well it’s a bit of a mess. But the levels for it were mostly fun. What’s odd to me though is that Kijimi is a planet on the galaxy map… but there’s no space events and you can’t land. I wondered if it was a glitch but it seems to be the case for everyone. Which is… odd, considering every world on the map has both a ground and space thing (and starkiller base doesn’t have a planet on the map, despite having both as you play through). I still have tons to do on it, free playing the levels and unlocking people and the dlc is out which is cool.
Today I took my pad as we walked the pup, hoping to get pics of the baby swans and geese that we saw a few days back but alas, the geese weren’t to be seen (maybe hiding in reeds) but the swans were there which was nice.
There’s no really plans for today or tomorrow, but Saturday is free comic book day. It’s probably just gonna be a morning visit, but I hope to get the comics for Doctor Who, sonic and Pokémon at least. There’s also meant to be an Umbrella Academy thing too? I’ve heard it’s a poster. An original part of the plan was to see Doctor Strange, but cause I’ve still not seen the last Spiderman I might hold off a bit (and hope to avoid spoilers).
And then the week after is Eurovision! Yay! I’ve still not heard our song, or any of the others, and probably won’t until the semis. (I’ve heard from someone our one is good so… maybe we won’t be last?) so next week I’ll likely have the Eurovision playlist on Spotify on. Apparently the American one has been going on…. But I have heard exactly nothing about it. Not sure if that’s good or bad. Is anyone doing anything for Eurovision?
Anyway, I hope everyone is ok and (again) I hope to get better at looking through my friends list on here. (I did also intend to do a song Saturday with the new Set It Off video but alas, I was too wiped)

I feel for you with the roadworks. Virgin have just plastered our estate in notices on the lampposts saying they're going to be digging up the roads and pavements to install fibre soon. Can't say I'm looking forward to that.

Oh no! I hope it doesn’t take long but with so many notices it sounds unlikely
