She is back inside and safe, thank fuck!

Edit to add: she is oblivious to the anxiety she has caused

Well, thank fuck for that. I assume she's okay? (and are you, because that kind of thing is shit-scary when it happens, even if it does turn out alright?)

She seems to be, I haven’t been able to check her over but she seems her usual self (including Taking three times for her to come in fully when she did return). I’ve included pics of her now

But ugh it was so anxiety inducing, I was going manic. I was ready to camp in there all night

Brain pulled a trailing line out of my hand once, ran off into the undergrowth and disappeared. Neither sight nor sound of him. And I sobbed my heart out while looking for him, because I was convinced he'd caught the line round his neck or something. We love our pets, and that makes us not rationale about this shit, and I think that's okay. We would be distraught if something happened to them.

(For the record, Brain was fine. He'd tangled himself around the undergrowth, and sat down to wait patiently for us to find him, which it turns out is apparently what he does when he gets stuck somewhere)

I remember the first year we had Naryu, I was feeding the swans while mum held her…. And she got out the harness, ran into the water and swam out like 5+ meters. I was all ready to jump in after her in the five seconds it took for her to turn and realise )’what have I done’ and swam back

Yup, yup. I completely understand the people who drown because they jumped in the river to save their dog (who swam out safely). That would 100% be me.
