Oh wow, so many movies!!! I only managed to watch 69 movies in 2020. I kept meaning to watch more but just couldn't get myself to.

Is murder on the orient express worth watching? It's on my 'to-watch' list, but I haven't had great success with that this year (I ended up 0/3 for actually enjoying our Christmas films this year)

Jumanji: The Next Level (which took everything that made Welcome to the Jungle awesome, removed it, and made a two hour film from the dross that was left over); Birds of Prey (which similarly took everything that was awesome about Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, removed it, and also made a two hour film from what was left) and The Gentlemen (which was, objectively, a good film I think, but was exactly what I expected from a Guy Ritchie outing, and I don't like his style of film).

I might have to give it a try!

I loved Welcome to the Jungle. I mean, we watched The Next Level on Christmas Day, and were so disappointed, that we actually went back and rewatched Welcome to the Jungle again to make sure we weren't misremembering it. We weren't; it was awesome! Birds of Prey, ack. Just write me films about women being awesome; it doesn't need to be about men, especially when the approach is to make every single man in the movie treat women badly. It's lazy stereotyping, rather than properly exploring complex social issues, and even if they didn't want to go that deep (which is fair, albeit a shame) they could have spent that time instead building up some reason why/how all these women end up working together and making the plot make actual sense. They did not do these things :(

Suicide Squad is... not a good film, overall. It also does a lot of lazy stereotyping, and the plot similarly creaks badly. But Margot Robbie's turn in it is a goddamn delight, and I would say it's worth watching just for Harley Quinn.

I keep track of the ones I see at the cinema at Letterboxd, but have never thought of doing the ones I see at home.
